Pure Encapsulations June Seminar Series 2024 - Nutritional Dermatology: Advances for Acne, Acne Inversa, Eczema, and Psoriasis

Published to Upcoming Events on Mar 05, 2024

Nutritional therapy plays an important role in the management of inflammatory skin disorders. However, in the United Kingdom over 90% of dermatologists feel they need additional nutrition training and access to specialist support from nutrition professionals. There is an important and unmet need for disease-specific, evidence-based training on the role of nutrition in dermatology.

This seminar series provides an update and review of the nutritional malmanagement of some of the most encountered clinical challenges; acne, acne inversa (hidradenitis suppurativa), eczema (atopic dermatitis), and psoriasis. You will explore the clinical evidence for adverse food reactions and elimination diets, therapeutic dietary interventions, food supplements, nutrient-drug interactions, and topical therapies.

Learning objectives:

  • Review the role of diet in the management of complex inflammatory skin disorders
  • Cover clinical studies guiding evidence-based nutritional therapy for acne, acne inversa, eczema, and psoriasis
  • Explore the importance of factors such as the psychological stress, circadian disruption, the microbiome, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and atopy
  • Develop a robust understanding of the strengths, and limitations, of nutritional dermatology.

All attendees will receive:

  • 2-hours of CPD approved education
  • Lecture notes
  • Supplementary research papers
  • Dinner and drinks
  • Free sample products
