This webinar will explore the evolving evidence on the role of diet and nutritional status in brain health, focusing on how nutrients support neurotransmitter activity, cognitive performance, emotional regulation and overall neurological function. The webinar will provide an evidence-informed overview to support clinical thinking, patient education, and practitioner confidence when working with neurodivergent clients.
Dr Rachel Gow will begin with a concise introduction to ADHD, neurodivergence, and brain health, before examining why nutrition matters for brain activity, attention, mood and resilience. The session will review current literature findings, including recent work by Dr Gow PhD and colleagues, which highlights associations between nutrient insufficiencies, food intolerances and ADHD symptom severity.
Dr Nigel Abrahams will consider the potential relevance of IgG-mediated food sensitivity reactions and their possible contribution to neuroinflammation and symptom expression.
