Daisy became passionate about nutrition after becoming interested in the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle during her Religious studies degree. She therefore went on to re-train in Nutritional Therapy, during which time she worked as the Director of Studies for the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Working in the industry fuelled Daisy’s passion for Naturopathic Medicine and she is now working on building a Nutritional Therapy practice, as well as working for the Nutricentre and leading workshops in Nutrition for a company specialising in employees’ health and wellbeing
Jackie Day ND, MH, DNI, MNNA, FGNI, MAMH, MBANT – NNA President
Jackie incorporates Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy, Herbal Medicine, Iridology and Stress Management into her naturopathic practice based in the Dartmoor National Park, where she can indulge her love of nature and animals. She is the Principal of the Natural Healthcare College. Jackie has extensive experience in corporate and manufacturing sector management, working with both small and international companies. She has several years experience in the management of CAM professional bodies and is a Council member of the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists (GNII) and the General Naturopathic Council (GNC). Jackie was part of the GNC team that in 2009 revised the Core Elements for Naturopathy and established the Naturopathic National Occupational Standards
Jill Dumas - NNA PR & Media Officer
Jill began her career in business, working in companies, large and small, in a number of roles in finance, sports marketing and speciality coffee. However, she soon realised her real passion was in Nutrition, leading her to join the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), where she is currently training inNaturopathic Nutrition and Naturopathy. When not working or studying, Jill enjoys travelling, running and yoga. She is very enthusiastic about her role as the NNA's PR & Media Officer and as well as liaising with journalists, Jill is regularly updating information on the NNA's Facebook and Twitter pages
Lesley Harper Dip NNT, MNNA – NNA Registrar
Lesley is a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist who graduated with the Natural Healthcare College. During a ten year engineering career, her own health problems ignited interest in nutritional approaches to health and she experienced firsthand the positive effects of nutrition on health. Lesley believes that sound nutrition is the foundation for optimum health, and that an integrated approach to healthcare can bring many benefits to the individual. In her role as a nutritional therapist she aims to provide appropriate information and achievable recommendations in order for the individual to be able to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. She currently runs a private practice from the centre of Exeter, Devon and in her spare time enjoys cooking, yoga and cycling, as well as live music
Caroline Peyton Dip NNT, MNNA – NNA Treasurer
Caroline graduated from Kent University with a BA (Hons) in Management Science, following which she spent 2
0 years working in several areas of the corporate sector. She knows from her person experiences the stress and pressure of working life today and the impact this may have on health and well-being. Caroline became disillusioned with corporate life and wanted to find a better, healthier balance to her life. She retrained with Natural Healthcare College and is a fully qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist with practices in the Swindon and Cirencester areas. Apart from her twin daughters, outside work Caroline’s main hobby is riding and competing in one day events on her horse Woody
Ciara Roberts - NNA Secretary
Ciara completed her studies of Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine during 2011. Having grown up in Africa amidst the bountiful fresh produce of the land and sunshine of Zambia, a journey into learning about the true nourishment of the body and soul followed. Juggling a busy job in private banking, she is delighted to be embracing her passion of natural health, whilst still enjoying all the wonderment and teaching London has to offer.
Ciara is busy setting up practice in both her locale of Crystal Palace and Canary Wharf, her current place of work.
